Pan Burlew addressed the Council voicing concerns regarding an event, sponsored by Pineville Concerned Citizens (PCC) scheduled for June 30th, to be held in a vacant lot between Wayne and Prince Street.  Ms. Burlew is requesting the event be moved to another location that she believes would be more suitable to accommodate the crowd.

Mr. Hebert spokesman for the Pineville Concerned Citizens addressed the Council, stating a group of citizens worked diligently to put together this community get-together, stressing the lot for the event was the only place available at the time.  The picnic event is to get the people of Lakeside and Wardville together to solve the problems in their neighborhoods.

Mayor Fields stated everything would be done to accommodate the event; there was never any intent to disrupt the neighborhood.  If an alternate site can be used, it will be looked into.

Mr. Freeman offered the benediction.

There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion by Alderman Wainwright, seconded by Alderman Dorn and unanimously passed, the meeting was adjourned.
