The Pineville Youth Basketball League finished up a very successful season on Saturday, February 17, 2001. In addition, local businesses have sponsored a "Burger Bash" for the PYBL participants, along with their families, on February 22, 2001 at the Main Street Community Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m.. Below and to the right are some photographs from the last game.
The Mission of the PYBL is "to develop fundamental basketball skills in a noncompetitive environment. The primary emphasis is on sportsmanship, individual skills, and group dynamics, wherein EVERY child is given an equal opportunity to participate in game/team activities."
The season runs from January to February of each year and registration ranges from $25 to $45 per child (depending on number of children in family and early/late registration, etc).
