Cleco

David Eppler, president and CEO of CLECO, got his hands dirty in observance of "Arbor Day". Eppler planted a dogwood tree, on CLECO's corporate campus as some 50-employess and visitors watched. It was the first of 12-tree plantings by CLECO employees along the company's half-mile walking trail. The celebration is part of CLECO's planned public arboretum, which will be adjacent to the visitor's parking area, next to their corporate offices, off the Expressway in Pineville. More than 30-species of trees and plants already grow on the 12-acres of CLECO's grounds. (Click on picture for larger view.)

Pineville City Hall

The City of Pineville is already a beautiful place to live, but city officials and local leaders worked hard during "National Arbor Day" activities to add to our renown scenery. With members of the Pineville Beautification Committee and Pineville Tree Board looking on, Pineville Mayor Clarence Fields lends his green thumb to the planting efforts of Councilwoman Carrie Broussard and First Lady Rosa Fields. Two Dogwoods trees were planted on the north side of City Hall, between the side entrance and Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries. (Click on picture for larger view.)
