The Mayor of Pineville is Clarence Ray Fields. The City Council is made up of the following individuals:
Pineville City Council meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located inside City Hall at 910 Main Street. Special Council meetings are always announced at least 24 hours in advance by public notice at City Hall, on Pineville.net and public notices are sent out to local media.
The best person to answer that question is Helen Mott, the director of the Senior Citizens Center which is located at 801 Main Street. The Senior Citizens Center has many activities available at that location and has information regarding other services provided by other agencies/groups.
In regards to retirement living or apartments for seniors, there are several good alternatives in Pineville. The person to talk to regarding housing for Seniors is Michelle Rabalais, Executive Director of the Pineville Housing Authority, 318-473-9729. Ms. Rabalais is very helpful and I'm sure she can point you in the right direction.

We get this question a lot because of Camp Beauregard's nationally acclaimed Youth Challenge Program. The best information can be found by contacting the YCP directly at 1-800-CAMP-KID or at their web page. However, since we have received this question so often, here is some information about YCP.
The Louisiana National Guard's Youth Challenge Program is a 5-month residential program held at Camp Beauregard every January and July. (This is also a program starting at the Gillis Long Center in south Louisiana every April and October.) YCP is available to Louisiana residents who are high school drop-outs, ages 16-18, who are drug-free and have no felony convictions. They offer:

Because Huey P. Long Hospital is located in Pineville we are often asked how to get a copy of a birth certificate. I'm not sure why we're asked about the death certificates but we are.
