Project "Moms for Kees Park"The "Moms for Kees Park" project started with a group of ladies who wanted a safe place to bring their children to play. The old Kees Park playground was out of date and the equipment just wasn't up to par. So these industrious ladies got together and started Project Moms for Kees Park. And what success they've had! Just take a look at the pictures at the right to get a glimpse of how much progress has been made. (Click on the pictures for a larger, more detailed view.) The new Kees Park Playground is now open to the general public. For more information, call: 487-8875. Flag, Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze Sponsors' names will be engraved on plaque(s) and permanently displayed in the park. To encourage individual citizens, as well as area businesses, to participate in sponsorship of the park, bricks are affordable and can be engraved with personal or business names. A walkway with all the bricks will be constructed as part of the beautification stage. The bricks can also be purchased in memory of or to honor someone else. Donations will be received at Regions Bank (formerly Security First National Bank) and at Pineville City Hall. Donations are tax deductible as provided for by law.
