DELINQUENT TAX LISTING


BE IT KNOWN, THAT I, KATHERINE E. HAYES, CITY CLERK AND EX-OFFICIO TAX COLLECTOR OF THE CITY OF PINEVILLE, RAPIDES PARISH AFORESAID BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND THE ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY DO ENFORCE COLLECTION OF ALL TAXES ASSESSED BUT NOT PAID FOR THE YEAR 2017 TOGETHER WITH INTEREST THEREON FROM THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY, 2018 AT THE RATE OF ONE PERCENT (1%) PER MONTH UNTIL PAID AND ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH COLLECTION.  THE NAMES OF SAID DELINQUENT TAX DEBTORS, THE IMMOVABLE PROPERTY ASSESSED TO EACH TO BE OFFERED FOR SALE.  THE SALE WILL BE HELD AT CITY HALL BEGINNING AT 10:00 A.M. ON  MAY 30, 2018 AND CONTINUE UNTIL ALL SAID SALES ARE COMPLETED.  WE WILL ADVERTISE BY USING THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS OF THE PROPERTY
AS DESCRIPTION, AND THE AMOUNT OF THE STATUTORY IMPOSITIONS DUE BY EACH ON THE ASSESS-MENT ROLL OF 2017 UNLESS SAID TAXES ARE PAID BY THE TIME OF SALE.

ON THE DAY OF SALE WE WILL SELL A TAX SALE DEED TO SUCH PORTIONS OF THE PROPERTY AS EACH TAX DEBTOR WILL POINT OUT AND, IN CASE THE DEBTOR DOES NOT POINT OUT SUFFICIENT PROPERTY, WE WILL AT ONCE, AND WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY, SELL THE LEAST QUANTITY OF AN UNDIVIDED INTEREST OF SAID PROPERTY OF ANY TAX DEBTOR WHICH ANY BIDDER WILL BUY FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE TAXES, INTEREST, AND COST DUE BY SAID DEBTOR; THE SALE WILL BE WITHOUT APPRAISEMENT, FOR CASH OR OTHER PAYMENT METHOD ACCEPTABLE TO THE TAX COLLECTORS, IN LEGAL TENDER MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE TAX SALE DEED TO PROPERTY SOLD WILL BE REDEEMABLE AT ANY TIME DURING THE APPLICABLE REDEMPTIVE PERIOD BY PAYING THE PRICE GIVEN, INCLUDING COSTS AND FIVE (5%) BUYER’S FEE THEREON, WITH INTEREST AT THE RATE OF ONE (1%) PER MONTH UNTIL REDEEMED. NOTICE TO MORTGAGE CREDITORS:  IN CONFORMITY WITH THE CONSTITUTION AND STATUTES OF THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL PARTIES HOLDING MORTGAGES UPON REAL ESTATE LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PINEVILLE, STATE OF LOUISIANA, ON WHICH THE TAXES FOR THE YEAR 2017 HAVE BEEN PAID, THAT WE WILL BEGIN THE SALE OF THE SAME AS ABOVE AT 10:00 A.M. ON (DATE TBD).  AND THAT A NUMBER OF PIECES OF SAID PROPERTY SO DELINQUENT ARE NOW BEING ADVERTISED IN THIS PAPER IN CONFORMITY WITH THE LAW PREPARATORY TO SUCH SALE.  THE ATTENTION OF ALL MORTGAGE CREDITORS IS ESPECIALLY CALLED TO THE ADVERTISEMENT OF TAX SALES AND THEY ARE WARNED TO TAKE SUCH STEPS PRIOR TO THE SALE AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO PROTECT THEIR INTERESTS.
