Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Saturday, May 5, 2012 8:00AM - Noon
Event to be held at LA National Guard Esler Field
Open to all residents of Rapides Parish and surrounding areas
Waste Tires will be accepted. Limit 5 per person.
Accepting paints, automobile batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, household cleaners, household chemicals, pesticides, flammables, corrosives, expired medications, sharps/needles, other hazardous household products, and electronic wastes (computers, monitors, printers, scanners, Palm accessories, power supplies, battery backups, cables, toner/ink cartridges, hard drives, CD roms, security systems, processors, circuit board (any types), speakers, networking equipment, tape drives, printers, fax machines, keyboards, voice/tape recorders, radios, Walkman products, calculators, pagers, cellular phones, and phone accessories).
THIS COLLECTION IS FOR HOUSEHOLDS ONLY. Large quantities from businesses, farms, or commercial operations will not be accepted.
PROHIBITED: biological and radioactive materials, compressed gas cylinders, ammunition, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, televisions, copiers, furniture and explosives.
