Event Description:

The City of Pineville will host a very special sporting event for our community. From August 5th - 10th, the Pineville Ward 9 Sportsplex will be host to the 2016 Dixie Boys & Junior Boys Baseball World Series. The honor of hosting this year is even more special because it's the 60th anniversary celebration of Dixie Baseball, which was founded in Central Louisiana in 1956...and the only teams playing at that time were from Louisiana.

To show you how it's grown, we will have 24 teams from 11 States, representing the Dixie Boys (14-year old) and Junior Boys (13-year old). Just in players alone, we will have over 350 here for the tournament - not to mention all the family that will make Central Louisiana their home for a week.
