Pineville hosts 2nd annual BBQ Cook-Off
PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Pineville was abuzz with excitement for the 2nd Annual BBQ Cook-Off on the Riverfront, featuring delicious BBQ from local vendors and a competition for the coveted BBQ Champion title.
The event included food tastings by judges, live music, games, and local crafts, making it a perfect outing for families and friends.
Participants could look forward to cash prizes for the best brisket, chicken, ribs and the best-dressed tent.
“This event is a wonderful way to support local businesses, especially in today’s economy," said Rebekah Stellwagon, Executive Administrative Assistant for the City of Pineville. “You can shop for unique items while your kids enjoy the jumpers. The weather is great this weekend, with a nice breeze coming from the river.”
The cook-off began at 4 p.m. on Oct. 11, and the market will continue on Oct. 12 at noon.
